ACCREDITATION
Southern
University at New Orleans is accredited by the Commission on Colleges
of the Southern Association of Colleges and Schools (1866 Southern
Lane, Decatur, Georgia 30033-4097, 404-679-4501) to award Associate,
Bachelor, and Masters degrees.
Reaffirmation
of accreditation was achieved in December 2000 as a result of the
third Self-Study that was completed in March 2001.
The School
of Social Work is accredited by the Council on Social Work Education.
The College
of Education is approved by the Louisiana Department of Education
and accredited by the National Council for Accreditation of Teacher
Education (NCATE).
Southern University at New Orleans is a member of AACSB.
