Homecoming 2010 provides campus with full slate of activities October 28, 2010
Miss SUNO and her Royal Court present Homecoming 2010. Themed "An Epoch of Prominence with a Rich Heritage and a Vivid Future", the week presents a mixture of SUNO tradition with the spirit of energized student leadership.
Miss SUNO 2010 is Ms. LaShena O. Haynes. A Social Work major, Ms. Haynes came to Southern University at New Orleans from Chicago, Illinois; and will be escorted by Mr. Ellis D. Brent, Jr.
She is a member of Alpha Kappa Alpha Sorority, Inc. where she serves SUNO's Zeta Theta chapter as president. She is also a member of the National Pan-Hellenic Council, and the Student Government Association. Ms. Haynes is also a member of the First Fifty Knights, Students of Social Work Club, and she serves as a Peer Mentor.

Marisa A. Mitchell is Miss Senior, and her major is History. Ms. Mitchell is a native of New Orleans, and she is the daughter of Adrianne Petit Mitchell. She will be escorted by Mr. Ricardo C. Coleman. Ms. Mitchell is a member of Delta Sigma Theta Sorority, Inc., the Psychology Club, the National Pan-Hellenic Council, the Interorganizational Council, the History Club, and the First Fifty Knights.
The seat of Miss Junior belongs to Ms. CalBriell R. Williams, a Psychology major. A native of New Orleans and the daughter of Lintrell Carter, Ms. Williams will be escorted by Mr. Darryl N. Phillips. She is active in several student organizations, including: Psi Chi National Honors Society, the Psychology Club, the Yearbook Club, the Communication Club, the Golden Knights Cheerleading Squad, the Interorganizational Council, and the First Fifty Knights.
Ms. Rochelle D. Cureaux reigns as Miss Sophomore. Coming from Marrero, Louisiana, Ms. Cureaux is a double major in Psychology and Elementary Education. She will be escorted by Mr. Hylton S. Campbell, and is the daughter of Romell and Karen Cureaux. Ms. Cureaux serves the SUNO community as a member of the First Fifty Knights and as a Residential Life Community Assistant. She is also active with Americorps.
Miss Freshman is Ms. Jasmine J. Perry, a native of New Orleans. The Criminal Justice major is the daughter of James Perry, and will be escorted by Mr. Bryan M. Braneon, Jr. Ms. Perry is a member of the Criminal Justice Club.
