"Parenting Challenges: 21st Century"

8 a.m. to 3 p.m.

The School of Social Work's Community Resource Center will host the "Parenting Challenges: 21st Century" conference to present best practice program models, research, strategies, etc. related to parenting, parent education and parent involvement.

Topics include (but are not limited to):

• Grandparents Raising Grandchildren
• Legal Challenges to Parenting
• School Choice
• Single Black Fathers
• The Nutritional Gap
• Using Hip-Hop

Presenters include representatives from: the New Orleans Council on Aging, the Urban League of Greater New Orleans, the Early Childhood & Family Learning Foundation, Total Community Action and more.

REGISTRATION

Early bird registration is $45.00, due February 10th, and $50.00 between February 11th and 18th. NO ON-SITE REGISTRATION! Student registration is $15.00.
