WHAT IS THE CHANCELLOR'S EMERGING LEADERS PROGRAM (CELP)?

The Chancellor’s Emerging Leaders Program is a pre-collegiate program designed to encourage students at Sophie B. Wright Charter Middle School to complete high school and attend college.  The CELP was founded in 2007 by Chancellor Victor Ukpolo in an effort to increase the number of young people who matriculate beyond high school.  SUNO will provide full-tuition scholarships to students who successfully complete the program.  Eligible students will be provided academic and personal counseling and additional support services to help ensure success during the eighth grade and beyond.
